Asanas Yoga: Asanas

Asana is the name given to each of the positions adopted by the body in the practice of Yoga. Sometimes it is followed by a move to go from one to another phase of the asana. Each asana is a complete unit on its own and is studied to produce the following effects simultaneously:

* Put in action a few specific muscles, bones and joints in a different way as used in everyday life.

* exerts a mechanical action on various organs and glands, stimulating better performance due to compression or massage done this naturally.

* Enhances the activity of certain nerves and nerve plexus, which produces, in addition to its physical effect, a modification of the internal sensibility in depth and breadth.

* For a moment changes the course of the circulation of all or part of the body, resulting in its revitalization.

* Produce, in a natural way, a certain type of breathing, a particular state of consciousness and a characteristic vegetative mental state. According to Hindu teachers, each asana also produces the following effects:

* It connects different pranic currents (subtle energy) to certain levels, which gives a definite stimulating action of prana in general circulation and accumulation in certain particular chakras (pranic centers of consciousness).

* Isolate the physical body and certain currents of psychic energy from the Earth and the environment, or adjust the shape of its input, which facilitates the work of meditation or obtaining certain mental states.

* Each asana fundamental plays, symbolically, in the microcosm (man), a phase of cosmic creation, the which induces resonance line shape or a specific state of spiritual awareness.

* is a door through which man's consciousness, awake and integrated properly, can deepen and extend up beyond their usual personal limitation.
